Glowpal ("we") operates the Glowpal mobile app and glowpal.org. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Providing data is voluntary, but some features can't work without it (for example, venue check-in needs your approximate location).

What we collect

• Account data — email, name, date of birth (to verify you're 18+), sign-in method (email, Google, or Apple).
• Profile data you choose to share — photos, interests, and your connection preference ("bracelet color").
• Venue presence — when you check in, the venue you're at and approximate distance to others. We show other users approximate distance only, never your exact coordinates.
• Messages — chats you send through Glowpal. Message content is reviewed by our moderation systems and by humans only when reported.
• Device & diagnostics — device model, OS version, crash reports, and app performance data.

How we use it

• To run the service: matching, check-ins, and chat.
• To keep people safe: age verification, content moderation, and enforcing our Community Guidelines.
• To fix problems: crash and performance diagnostics.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Service providers that process data for us: Google Firebase (authentication, push notifications), Sentry (crash reporting), and Cloudflare (content delivery and image storage). Each receives only what its function requires. We disclose data to authorities only when legally required.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or via glowpal.org/delete-account; we process web requests within 30 days. Trust & safety reports may be retained for statutory periods.

Your rights

glowpal.org sets no cookies and uses no analytics or trackers. Forms you submit here (support, account deletion) are stored securely and used only to handle your request.
